I have read about top ten lists for all kinds of services, exotic cars, resorts, movies and who knows what else, but what about men`s magazines?? I take the liberty to make my own list and publish it to the world, in case some guys find the advice useful:

1. Playboy

because men will be men forever. First thing created after Adam was a woman, right? no need to explain further. Hef has worked a lot to make the logo a universal symbol. The article on escorts resorts in the Caribbean was fantastic.

2. Sports Illustrated

So the second thing in the mind of 85% of guys is sports, after women.. if anyone has a doubt just check the stats, not to mention that SI makes an annual calendar featuring beautiful women… if men were not into sports, this magazine would be about women.

3. Gentlemen`s Quarterly

famously known as GQ, this is a piece of art delivered every month to men who really know what it means to have a touch of class. Exquisite suits, ties, sports wear and shoes, it is a must read if you are into being well dressed and making women turn heads.

4. Men`s health

what would a guy do with all of the above but the body of Homer Simpson? you need to stay in shape, get fit to live a long, healthy life. This magazine offers plenty of advice on fresh routines, equipment and nutrition. It seems to be the most complete guide on health for men nowadays.

5. Esquire

Similar but not equal to GQ, this magazine has style written in all the pages, plus lots of articles about society, politics and women. The clothing is awesome, and the shoes might well be the same featured in rival GQ`s ads. Great editorials make it a readable piece.

6. Penthouse

The women of Penthouse have what every man desires, we all know it because there isn`t a man on earth ( besides the 40-yr old Virgin ) that hasn`t had one of those little treasures hidden somewhere in the dorm. The articles are great for the mind, if you care to read about politics from this angle. I loved the article featuring Charlisangels, the famous “erotic vacations resort” where men are chased by the women.. OMG

7. Maxim

Well, the article on Megan Fox was enough to keep me busy for a while, I think I read it over and over again. The online version seems more like a portal than a magazine, but its fast-growing numbers mean these guys are serious. This is a magazine about everything, specially women. It is worth reading to stay in touch with the latest in entertainment.

8. Hustler

If only because I love the way Larry Flynt handles Washington, “we ousted (….) the La Senator who was in Deborah Palfrey`s list” as if the NSA, CIA, and FBI didn`t know about it. We all know we all knew, but didn`t talk about it. Don`t these guys know there are places well away from the homeland where these things are legal??

9. National Geographic

the largest US publication, what would men do without the lil` yellow window, to search for lost cultures and ancient worlds. A must read for all men who not only like to look and feel good, but understand that as Aristotle said, ” knowledge is power” and the power can give you privileges. A full man should read the NG and learn as much from it, specially for world travelers and photography enthusiasts.

10. Car and Driver

Hot rods, here we go! Car and Driver is one of the oldest automobile-related magazines and features a lot of cool rides with the latest info on new models. I bet Jay Leno is the first reader spreading its pages every month. No need to say it, hard to find any guy who drives anything to work and back, that hasn`t been in contact with the mag.

I guess this list will make some men think twice if they had no idea there was so much to see through the pages of the best publications, reading is the best next thing to sex, ask anyone and they`ll say yes. If you`ve ever been in a bar or social encounter and your conversation never made it past “hi, i`m Bob” it means you`re not a good reader.

Start thinking about it, and if it is too hard for you to start reading and opening good conversations, go to an escorts resort and practice with the babes there, they`ll give you an ear even if you sound ( and look ) like Homer Simpson. After all, it`s all inclusive…
